Using fit data to cut bracketing at the source

Bracketing is a symptom. The disease is fit uncertainty, and your own returns data is the diagnostic.

Every return with a size reason code is a data point. Aggregated per SKU, those codes tell you which products run small, which run large, and which are simply inconsistent. That is the list your fit content team should work from.

Per customer, the same data separates innocent bracketing from habitual behavior. The shopper who brackets a new brand twice, then buys single units, was solving for fit. The one who brackets order forty the same as order one is not.

Fix the content for the first group and the policy for the second. Brands that split the problem this way cut bracketing volume while keeping the generous returns experience that converts.
